National Wildlife Federation and Earth Networks Partner to Foster K-12 STEM Education, Environmental Literacy and Sustainability Programs

RESTON, Va. & GERMANTOWN, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The National Wildlife Federation and Earth Networks^SM, the owner of WeatherBug® and operator of the largest weather observing and lightning detection networks, are partnering to enhance STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education, promote environmental literacy, and increase awareness of sustainability and “green” issues through a series of education and outreach programs aimed at educators, K-12 students, families and the general public.

The organizations will share and integrate weather, climate and environmental content in NWF’s Eco-Schools USA and Earth Networks’ WeatherBug Schools Programs, which are used in thousands of K-12 classrooms nationwide.
