John Dragovits Brings Extensive Leadership Experience from Key Positions in U.S.-Based Healthcare Facilities

DALLAS--()--Anthelio, the leading independent provider of comprehensive healthcare information technology services and business process solutions for hospitals and other healthcare providers, today announced the appointment of John Dragovits as President and Chief Operating Officer, based in Dallas.

Mr. Dragovits has more than 25 years of management and operations experience at leading hospitals in Dallas, including extensive operating experience, P&L expertise in general management, financial operations, corporate finance, information technology, strategic planning, quality, board relations, and capital development/construction programs.

At Anthelio, Mr. Dragovits’ primary responsibility will be to enhance the quality, effectiveness, cost and value of Anthelio’s customer service delivery, as well as to help expand its position in the healthcare provider marketplace.

Most recently, Mr. Dragovits served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he oversaw plans for a financial and operational turnaround. In that capacity, he developed a financing plan that resulted in Parkland being named the only AAA-rated hospital (private or government) by two rating agencies, and drove financial savings of over $120 million net present value from original plan of financing. He also partnered with the executive team to drive numerous strategic, operational and cultural changes to support the health system turnaround.

Previously, he served as Vice President of Cerner Corporation, where he developed and implemented new business strategies to integrate clinical care, knowledge and technology. Mr. Dragovits is also credited with leading the turnaround of Cerner’s Clinically Driven Revenue Cycle Solutions, improving KLAS performance scores from 40 to 60 within 12 months, and generating $100 million in software and services annual revenue for its physician practices.

Prior to Cerner, Mr. Dragovits held a variety of leadership positions at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He developed and implemented a series of information technology strategies to build the foundation of an electronic health record and clinician order entry system. As a result, the hospital was named one of the 100 “Most Wired” hospitals in the U.S. by Hospitals and Health Networks Magazine for 2003 and 2001.

“We are delighted to welcome such a highly seasoned and well-respected healthcare industry veteran to our executive management team,” said Rick Kneipper, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Anthelio. “John’s leadership and experience will be instrumental to Anthelio as we work to strengthen our position in the U.S. healthcare provider market and drive strong, profitable growth. John’s wealth of healthcare provider expertise will help Anthelio to continue to pioneer new and innovative ways for hospitals to better leverage technology and re-engineered back-office processes to improve patient care and operations.”

Mr. Dragovits was named a “CFO of the Year” in 2009 by the Dallas Business Journal, as well as “Southwest Financing Executive of the Year for 2009” and was a finalist for “National Bond Deal of the Year-2009” by Bond Buyer.
