OmniGuide Appoints Tracy Campbell Accardi as Chief Technology Officer

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--()--OmniGuide, Inc., a commercial stage medical device company, today announced that it has appointed Tracy Campbell Accardi as its Chief Technology Officer. Ms. Accardi is a seasoned medical device and diagnostics executive with a proven record of building global, high-performance teams that deliver innovative medical devices and diagnostic equipment. She has over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, during which time she has developed impressive leadership abilities in addition to a keen knowledge of her profession.

Ms. Accardi most recently served as vice president of global research and development for the Vascular Therapies division of Covidien, a world leader in medical devices. In that capacity, Ms. Accardi oversaw a team of 140+ engineers in the United States and Japan, and led teams in the development of acute and chronic dialysis catheters, vascular compression devices, pharmaco-mechanical thrombolysis treatment catheters and vein ablation catheters.

Ms. Accardi has also held executive level positions at Johnson & Johnson, Philips Healthcare and GE Healthcare. At each of these companies, she led international teams of engineers and scientists to develop cutting-edge products and therapies in the neurovascular and cardiovascular spaces.

Ms. Accardi graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a dual bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and engineering and public policy. She also has a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Currently based in Boston, Ms. Accardi sits on the board of “A Better Chance”, a nonprofit committed to the education of academically talented and promising young women of color from underserved communities.
