(NASDAQ: NUAN) today announced that its Dragon Voicemail to Text service is powering the new Speech to Text service for the NuPoint Unified Messaging (UM) platform, Mitel’s integrated messaging solution delivering simplified advanced message management to enterprises.

The enterprise workforce is more mobile than ever, demanding a greater ability to communicate and collaborate with customers and colleagues. Mitel’s NuPoint UM platform keeps voice messages organized with a flexible voicemail service that sends all messages and notifications directly to email on PCs and mobile phones. By integrating Nuance’s Dragon Voicemail to Text, Mitel’s enterprise customers will now be able to have voicemails transcribed with industry-leading accuracy, and quickly delivered – enabling timely triage and response if needed.

With NuPoint UM Voicemail to Text, each transcribed voice message can include the full audio file as an attachment, as well as the Caller ID in the subject line when available, so users can quickly and discreetly read, respond to and manage voice messages without interrupting their current activity. When necessary, employees are able to listen to messages at any time, and message delivery maintains enterprise security levels.
