ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--()--First Advantage, a Symphony Technology Group (STG) company and a leading provider of talent acquisition and electronic data solutions, has announced the release of a secure desktop application to push real-time Department of Transportation (DOT) driver compliance data directly to clients that use First Advantage’s Driver Qualification System (DQS).
“We are confident that this one-of-a-kind tool more than addresses that request and will ultimately provide our clients with an edge over their competitors by helping them keep more of their fleet consistently compliant and on the road.”
Ensuring compliance with the large number of current DOT regulations is imperative for any organization that relies on a fleet of drivers as part of their service or to transport their products. First Advantage’s DQS maintains and monitors their clients’ commercial and non-commercial drivers’ compliance with these regulations by tracking motor vehicle records, road test results, physical certifications and more, all in one location. The system has relied on proactive email alerts to notify clients of driver non-compliance, until now.
The new desktop application eliminates common flaws with email notifications such as SPAM filters, dated information and reliance on mail servers. The app has a secure, real-time data feed from the DQS that provides immediate notifications of non-compliant drivers 24/7. Other features include:
- listing of all non-compliant sections and direct links to those sections in the DQS
- support for up to 300 locations and unlimited drivers
- user view restrictions based on location
“We built the app at our clients’ request to provide an even better notification process,” said Dan Filby, executive vice president and managing director, First Advantage Tax Consulting and Fleet Services. “We are confident that this one-of-a-kind tool more than addresses that request and will ultimately provide our clients with an edge over their competitors by helping them keep more of their fleet consistently compliant and on the road.”
Having delivered the tool clients requested, First Advantage is planning additional enhancements in the near future including:
- drag-and-drop document upload through the application
- tab for drivers approaching a non-compliant event
- pop-up alerts notifying users of changing driver events
- support for smartphones and tablets
“These important enhancements represent just a few of the advanced technology solutions that have made First Advantage the leader in the industry,” added Filby.
