SEVEN HILLS, Ohio--()--Chancellor University has named Dr. Douglas Lepelley as its John D. Rockefeller Chair of Global Business. Founded in 1848 as a mercantile college, Chancellor is the second oldest business school in the United States. One of its earliest alumni was John D. Rockefeller. Other notable alumni include Harvey Firestone and Theodore Ernst.

“We are pleased to name Doug as the Rockefeller Chair of Global Business,” said Chancellor University President Robert Daugherty. “Doug has done a superb job leading our graduate school of business. His expertise in leadership development at some of the world’s best companies and his academic research makes him especially well suited for this role.”
Dr. LePelley earned his Ph.D. in Leadership & Organizational Systems and a Master’s Degree in Leadership Development from The Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, CA. He earned a Master’s Degree in Organizational Analysis & Development from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH and a Bachelor’s Degree from Hiram College in Hiram, OH.

Dr. LePelley is active in research in leadership and organizational development and has served as chairman of numerous doctoral dissertations. As part of a new product team early in Dr. LePelley’s career at Rockwell International, he was fortunate to learn total Quality Management (TQM) from Dr. W. Edwards Deming.
