Leading Edge Logistics Acquires Horizon International Shipping of Miami and San Juan

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Leading Edge Logistics (LEL), one of the fastest growing non-asset based global third party logistics companies, today announced the acquisition of Horizon International Shipping of Miami and San Juan, a Non Vessel Owning Common Carrier (NVOCC), joining Leading Edge Logistics’ Puerto Rico division LEL Caribe. This represents the second acquisition by Leading Edge Logistics this year when the company acquired C&F Logistics of San Juan in March, making Leading Edge Logistics a leading NVOCC to the Puerto Rico market and expanding its service area to other parts of the Caribbean including the Cayman Islands and Panama.

Horizon International Shipping of Miami and San Juan was founded by Vicky Arbelaez in 1995 who grew the company to a profitable NVOCC. Arbelaez will be based in LEL’s Miami location.
