ORANGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Southern California Group, an outsourced sales and marketing firm based in the city of Orange, California, recently hosted a company fundraising event. “Cinco de So Cal” was held to raise money for Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), the area hospital dedicated to providing the highest quality, family-centered primary and specialty care to children.
More than 100 volunteers joined with The Southern California Group to participate in the beach barbecue held in Belmont Shore, in Long Beach. The event featured football, bocce ball, as well as a raffle for an iPad, Angels Tickets and other items that raised more than $2,000 for CHOC.
“Being successful in business is certainly important to us, but using our organization’s success as a tool to help others is an even greater value,” said Tedford Picha, President of the Southern California Group. “We find great value in volunteering for a worthwhile cause, and working with organizations like the Children’s Hospital of Orange County allows our team to give back and help improve the lives of the kids in our community.”
The Southern California Group has previously helped the community by working with Operation Smile and the Susan J. Komen Foundation, as well as volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club of Venice. The company plans to continue its philanthropic activities working with CHOC and the Boys and Girls Club of Orange County as the organization grows.
