Fixmo Introduces the SafeGuard Software Development Kit to Bring Defense-Grade Security and Management to Mobile Applications

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fixmo, the mobile risk management company, today announced Fixmo SafeGuard, a powerful new Software Development Kit (SDK) for securing mobile apps and protecting private data on iOS and Android devices. With the rapid proliferation of mobile apps, both consumers and business professionals are storing an increasing amount of sensitive information on smartphones and tablets, leaving them vulnerable to private data loss and security threats. Fixmo SafeGuard adds additional layers of security and encryption to existing mobile apps to mitigate the risk of privacy loss, private data leakage, malicious exploits and policy compliance breaches.

The Fixmo SafeGuard SDK creates a secure container around mobile apps by “wrapping” them with advanced access controls, remote policy management and defense-grade data encryption. It leverages the same technology that powers the Fixmo SafeZone secure workspace, which has been developed as part of Fixmo’s Co-operative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) and is now available for government agencies and enterprise customers around the world.

Remote Application Management including remote lock/wipe commands and custom management policies
Application Deployment into Fixmo SafeZone, the secure workspace for enterprises and government agencies for BYOD and corporate-owned iOS and Android devices

Apps that are secured with the Fixmo SafeGuard SDK can be deployed directly to mobile devices and managed as individual apps, or they can be deployed into the Fixmo SafeZone secure corporate workspace and be centrally managed alongside other enterprise apps using the Fixmo SafeZone or Fixmo Sentinel management tools.
