MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--()--Kaazing, leading provider of technology for the living web, today announced that John Donnelly III, former Cisco head of global sales for cloud automation and orchestration software and services, has joined the company as executive vice president of sales, services, marketing, and business development. “We are pleased that John, with his track record of achievement, has joined Kaazing to helm our go–to-market efforts worldwide,” said Jonas Jacobi, co-founder and CEO of Kaazing. “His global sales, marketing and visionary management experience combined with his success expanding Cisco's cloud automation software and managed services business, dovetails perfectly with our own push into the cloud.”

Donnelly comes to Kaazing from Cisco, where he was head of global sales and services for the company's cloud automation and orchestration offering. Throughout his career, Donnelly has held key executive sales and marketing positions at a variety of emerging and established technology companies.

“Helping the Kaazing team capture this massive global opportunity is very exciting. The goal is to help the company expand to enable the living Web across vertical market segments that include financial services, gaming, retail, and mobile,” said Donnelly. “I am particularly looking forward to help Kaazing bring its enterprise-class WebSocket Platform into the Amazon cloud; this will enable any size business across the globe to gain access to our game changing solution in a very cost effective fashion.”

Donnelly earned his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology and Marketing from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts; he was also a member of the NCAA Hockey and Baseball teams.

“John brings a deep understanding of the strategic issues around building a company focused on a transformational technology,” said Paul Dali, Kaazing board member, former Apple executive and chairman of its marketing council, and CEO of marketing firm Regis McKenna, Inc. “His contribution will be critical as Kaazing moves into its next phase of rapid growth focused on key areas like the cloud and the mobile network market.”
