Viridian Energy Ranked #50 in Direct Selling News Magazine’s Global 100 List

Viridian Energy’s 400% Revenue Growth Earns #50 Ranking on DSN Global 100 List

NORWALK, Conn.--()--Viridian Energy, a leading provider of affordable, green energy, has been ranked #50 on Direct Selling News Magazine’s prestigious DSN Global 100, the magazine’s annual rankings of the top revenue-generating direct selling companies in the world. This will appear in the magazine’s June issue. Viridian is one of the fastest growing companies to make the list.

Direct Selling News provides content on topics which help shape the dynamics of the direct selling industry. Since 2009, Direct Selling News has reviewed public and private direct selling companies, and has published the annual rankings in the Global 100 List. Rankings are determined according to net revenue before commissions are paid, and without any value-added tax.

This is Viridian’s first year on the DSN Global 100 list, and comes in Viridian’s third year of business. It is unusual to find such a young company not only make the list, but be ranked in the top 50 direct selling companies. This is proof that Viridian’s vision and business model work well to provide green energy products to a growing number of consumers who want to make an impact in the world.

“Viridian’s extraordinary revenue growth over the past three years is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of our talented independent sales associates,” said Michael Fallquist, founder and CEO of Viridian Energy. “Our associates’ commitment to our mission means that Viridian can continue to provide consumers the opportunity to positively impact the environment through simple choices at home. It is an honor to be named among the top performing direct selling companies as we work with our associates to continue to promote green energy, as well as participate in local and global sustainability events.”

Viridian provides simple, affordable, greener electricity rate plans that enable energy consumers to make a significant impact in reducing their individual carbon footprint without changing their behavior. Viridian has solidified its industry presence as a major market player in the direct selling industry based upon their 2011 revenue of more than $205M, a 400% increase over 2010 revenue.

Other companies recognized in the DSN Global 100 top 50 include Avon, Mary Kay, Tupperware, ACN, Pampered Chef Ltd., and Nature’s Sunshine Products. Sixteen countries were represented in the final ranking; Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Russia, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom and the United States.
