Just-Eat Cements UK Leadership with Fillmybelly.com Acquisition

World’s largest online takeaway ordering service acquires UK’s third biggest player

LONDON--()--Just-Eat, the world’s largest online takeaway ordering service, has acquired Fillmybelly.com, the UK’s third biggest provider of online takeaway. The deal consolidates Just-Eat’s position as the UK’s leading online ordering service for takeaway restaurants.

Founded in 2007, and based in Nottingham, Fillmybelly.com has 1,400 restaurant partners across the UK. Bertie Cordingley, Fillmybelly.com founder and owner, will continue to lead the day to day operations of the business.

Cordingley said “Online takeaway is a boom industry, and becoming part of Just-Eat means that we will benefit from being part of the UK leader. Our loyal customers, who have helped drive our growth, will benefit from the greater expertise and increased restaurant options that being part of Just-Eat will bring.”

Those restaurants know that partnering with us is the key ingredient to reaching customers in their local area.”

The Fillmybelly.com deal is the ninth acquisition Just-Eat has made since the beginning of 2011. Just-Eat now partners with over 11,000 restaurants in the UK alone.
