CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sagentia announced today the appointment of Niall Mottram as vice president of its U.S. Innovation and Technology team. As vice president, Niall will be leading the front-end innovation team, as well as supporting business development and operations stateside. Based in Cambridge, U.K. with offices in Cambridge MA, Sagentia is a global innovation, technology and product development company that provides outsourced R&D to clients in the consumer, industrial and medical sectors.

Prior to leading Sagentia’s innovation and technology management team in the U.S., Niall was a sector specialist in the company’s consumer products business, enabling clients to move products to market through the use of science-driven innovation that is feasible and novel. He has been a key contributor to Sagentia’s success since 2005, working across the consumer, medical and industrial sectors, delivering breakthrough innovation for clients around the world.

Before joining Sagentia, Niall worked for a major engineering company within the oil and gas sector in the UK, solving engineering problems on behalf of multinational oil companies. In addition, he has experience in the nuclear industry working on the decommissioning of an aging nuclear power generation facility. Niall has a Masters degree in chemical engineering from the University of Edinburgh, is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and is an accredited PRINCE2 Practitioner (Project Management).
