Hill+Knowlton Strategies Named as the Official Global PR Agency for 2014 Incheon Asian Games

SEOUL, South Korea--()--Hill+Knowlton Strategies today was named the official global PR agency for the 2014 Incheon Asian Games by the Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee (IAGOC). H+K Strategies and IAGOC signed an agreement for a global PR campaign this morning with Kyung-sang Kwon, Secretary General of IAGOC, James Heimowitz, President & CEO of H+K Strategies Asia, and HS Chung, President of H+K Strategies Korea in attendance.

The campaign theme “Cheer, Asia” represents the ultimate goal of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games to unite all of Asia through an engaging and entertaining sporting event. H+K Strategies developed the campaign, which combines athletics and contemporary Korean Pop culture. The campaign will create a synergy effect using both offline and online campaigns. In 2013, influencers in the sports, culture and tourism industries as well as the media from 19 countries will join road shows that will appear in six major cities across Asia: Guangzhou, Singapore, Tokyo, New Delhi, Dubai and Almaty.

17th Asian Games is held from 19 Sep. to 4 Oct. 2014 in and around Incheon Metropolitan City, South Korea under the slogan, “Diversity Shines Here”. Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) patronizes and 2014 Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee (IAGOC) hosts the event. It consists of total 36 sports events including 28 Olympics and 8 non-Olympics.
