BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CSA Medical, Inc. (www.CSAmedical.com), the leading developer of novel spray cryotherapy devices that flash freeze and ablate diseased tissue inside the body, has appointed Marc Davidson as Chief Technology Officer. Davidson brings to the company more than 25 years of engineering and R&D experience, including more than 15 years leading these functions in the medical device industry. In his new role, Davidson will lead ongoing development and advancement of the company’s patented spray cryotherapy technology platform and therapeutic accessories.

Prior to joining CSA Medical, Davidson served as Vice President of R&D for Lightlab Imaging, a St. Jude Medical Company. Previously, he served as Vice President of R&D for Covidien’s Patient Monitoring division following the sale of Aspect Medical Systems to Covidien in 2009. Before the acquisition, Davidson served as Vice President of Engineering at Aspect for nearly 10 years. In this role, he was responsible for all product development including monitoring systems, original equipment manufacturer kits and single‐use disposables. During his tenure, Davidson helped generate a five-fold increase in revenue through the development of more than 30 new products and product enhancements. Earlier in his career, Davidson held numerous senior engineering, marketing and R&D management positions with Hewlett-Packard Company.
