Ms. Tanaka also covered a number of tech giants, including Google, Microsoft, Yahoo!, Oracle and VMware. Prior to Forbes, she was managing editor at tech magazine Red Herring and a business and tech reporter at the Philadelphia Inquirer. Most recently, Ms. Tanaka served for one year as technology news editor of The Network, Cisco Systems' news site. Ms. Tanaka has a B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley.
