NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IPC The Hospitalist Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: IPCM), a leading national physician group practice company, today announced the names of the recipients for its “Providers of the Year” for 2011. The four award recipients, in alphabetical order, are: Michelle Benedict, M.S., R.N.-C.S. ANP, Michigan Region; Kenneth Donovan, M.D., Practice Group Leader, New England Region; Donald Quinn, M.D., Practice Group Leader, Tennessee Region; and Sarada Sripada, M.D., Practice Group Leader, St. Louis Region. IPC’s annual awards program recognizes those providers who have made outstanding contributions to the Company, to their facility and to the patients they serve, both in acute care and post-acute care settings.
This year, Drs. Donovan and Sripada share the honor as “Hospitalist of the Year” while Dr. Quinn was chosen “Post Acute Hospitalist of the Year” and Nurse Practitioner Michelle Benedict was named “Non-Physician Provider of the Year.”
Selected by IPC’s senior management team, the award includes an honorarium to each of the four award recipients. Additionally, IPC will make a $2,500 donation to the charity of their choice for each of the recipients. The donation will be on behalf of IPC as well as the facility in which each of the recipients serves.
