NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Perella Weinberg Partners today announced that Charles “Chuck” Ward has joined the Firm as a Partner in its Advisory business. Based in New York, Mr. Ward will work with the Firm’s top clients and prospects around the world.
Mr. Ward has more than 30 years of experience in the investment banking industry, having served in senior positions at leading financial institutions for the past two decades. Previously, he was President of Lazard Ltd. (“Lazard”) and also served as Chairman of its Asset Management Group. At Lazard, Mr. Ward was responsible for building the bank’s business outside of the United States and Europe. He also led its Global Industrials Banking, Global Private Equity and Global Capital Markets businesses and all administrative functions. Prior to Lazard, Mr. Ward was President of Credit Suisse First Boston and was Global Head of Investment Banking and Private Equity for the bank.

Biography of Charles G. Ward, III
Mr. Ward is a Partner at Perella Weinberg Partners. He has over 30 years of experience in investment banking. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners, Mr. Ward was Chief Investment Officer and a member of the Investment Committee at Arcapita, an international investment firm. Previously, Mr. Ward was with Lazard Ltd., where he served as President since joining the firm in 2002, as well as Chairman of its Asset Management Group. At Lazard, he was directly responsible for all of the firm’s business in Emerging Markets, including Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe, among other responsibilities. Prior to Lazard, Mr. Ward spent eight years at Credit Suisse, where he was the Head of Global Investment Banking and Private Equity, and where he was appointed President of Credit Suisse First Boston in 2000. Prior to Credit Suisse, Mr. Ward was one of four individuals who founded Wasserstein, Perella & Co in 1988. He served as President of the firm from 1990 to 1994. Prior to that, Mr. Ward spent eight years at The First Boston Corporation, where he was Co-Head of the M&A department. Mr. Ward received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Trinity College, Hartford, CT.
