Ron Paul Idaho Team Features Additional Paul Endorsements

State Reps. Barrett, Barbieri and Nielsen join ranks of leaders supporting ‘Champion of the Constitution’

BOISE, Idaho--()--The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign showcased today three state representatives, a city councilman and two GOP county chairmen who have endorsed Dr. Paul for the presidency.

Among those is state Rep. Lenore Barrett (R-Challis), representing the 35th Legislative District, an area encompassing Butte, Clark, Custer, Lemhi, Jefferson, and part of Fremont counties.

At a recent Ron Paul event in Boise, Mrs. Barrett spoke to the crowd stating that Ron Paul “will work to change to get our monetary policy back within the Constitution," and continued, "And I'll tell you this, if we don't do that right at the top, it's not going to make much difference."

Rep. Barrett has represented the 35th Legislative District since 1992 and is married to her husband Robert, with six children.

Also backing Paul is state Rep. Vito Barbieri (R-Dalton Gardens), representing the 3rd Legislative District, serving an area comprised of Hayden and the northern part of Kootenai County including parts of Coeur d’Alene. Rep. Barbieri was first elected in 2010 and is married to Joy with three children.

Rep. Pete Nielsen (R-Mountain Home) also has put his support behind Ron Paul, as an Idaho State Representative from the 22nd Legislative District, spanning Boise and Elmore counties.

Additional political leaders include Mullan City Councilman Chuck Reitz who also serves as the current Shoshone County GOP Chairman, and current Boise County GOP Chairman John Blattler.

“Idaho leaders such as these and Dr. Ron Paul share the same deep respect and abidance to the Constitution and the rule of law. These citizens are chosen by their neighbors for representing these conservative principles. Their endorsements of Congressman Paul’s bid for President attests to his unwavering Constitutional principles and consistent voting record,” said Ron Paul 2012 Idaho State Director Jen Pitino.

These endorsements follow those from State Senator Shirley McKague, State Senator Monty Pearce, State Rep. Phil Hart, Coeur d’Alene City Councilman Steve Adams, Lewiston City Councilman Clinton Daniel, Bonner County Commissioner Cornel Rasor, and Payette County GOP Chairman Nate Jones, all Idaho.

Providing a strong boost to Ron Paul’s Idaho State organization, such endorsements present Ron Paul as the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney. They also demonstrate that the 12-term Congressman from Texas has the only campaign organization capable of maintaining a 50-state competition with the moderate-establishment Romney.
