Delta Dental of Illinois Announces New Director to Focus on Foundation

NAPERVILLE, Ill.--()--Lora Vitek has joined Delta Dental of Illinois as director of philanthropy and community relations. In this newly created role, Vitek will manage the Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation, the oral health charitable arm of Delta Dental of Illinois.

In her new position, Vitek will oversee all Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation activities and build relationships within the oral health community to help further the Foundation’s mission of improving the oral health of Illinoisans. Vitek has worked in fundraising and development for 10 years. With extensive not-for-profit experience, Vitek brings a broad range of Foundation management, community relations and cause marketing knowledge to the company.

Prior to joining Delta Dental of Illinois, Vitek was director of development and engagement for the American Veterinary Medical Foundation, the national Foundation of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She also held development positions at Illinois organizations Teen Parent Connection and National Safety Council. At the beginning of her career, Vitek worked with a consulting firm that specializes in marketing, fundraising, board recruitment/development and engagement for educational institutions, national organizations and local community groups.

Vitek’s community involvement is a key aspect of her career. Vitek is the president of the Board of Directors for the West Suburban Philanthropic Network.

Vitek holds a Master of Management in Non-Profit Administration (M.M.N.A.) and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from North Park University in Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Millikin University in Decatur.
