Background:

The Stealth™ iX inkjet platform is based on high-resolution color inkjet technology. Visible Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Spot Color and Black pigment/dye ink in tanks and cartridges are replaced with invisible Stealth™ iX ink. The latter is completely invisible in daylight and daylight-like lighting, but displays a remarkable “glow in the dark” effect under invisible UV light exposure. The invisible droplets are placed at maximum possible resolution and speed, using standard print drivers compatible with Microsoft, Apple and other popular operating systems. To detect the invisible content, an ultraviolet (UV) light source is required. Portable UV light sources are included with each Stealth™ iX system and individually available from VersaCheck.com as key chain model or wide format devices starting at $9.99. The fluorescent self-glow effect is based on a wavelength shift of incoming invisible UV photons to visible blue light, which creates an eye catching self-glow effect of otherwise invisible graphic and text content. Barcodes and machine-readable marks appear in sharp contrast, which enables high-speed barcode scanning devices for on-demand tracking and authentication.
