Dublin, London, 13 February 2012: C&C Group plc (‘C&C’ or the 'Group’), a leading manufacturer, marketer and distributor of branded long alcohol drinks, principally in Ireland and the UK, announces that Liam Fitzgerald will step down as a non-executive Director on 29 February, 2012, the end of the Group’s financial year.

Sir Brian Stewart, Chairman, commented, “on behalf of the Board and the Group, I would like to thank Liam for his contribution since his appointment as a Director on C&C’s initial public offering in 2004. We wish Liam well for the future.”

John Dunsmore, former Chief Executive, also steps down as a Director on that day.

Liam FitzGerald was appointed as a non-executive Director of C&C in April 2004. He has been a director of United Drug plc since 1996 and has served as its chief executive since 2000. He is also a non-executive director of Warner Chilcott plc.

John Dunsmore stepped down as Chief Executive of the Group at the end of 2011. He remained as a Director for a two month transitional period.
