Growing its Executive Ranks, LiveData Names Arvind Goval As Executive Vice President of Technology and Services

Industry Veteran Has Played Leadership Role In Technology Standards, Patents

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--()--LiveData, Inc., an innovator of real-time integration and data visualization technology, today announced the appointment of Arvind Goyal as Executive Vice President of Technology and Services. LiveData’s solutions gather data from any number of sources, coordinate it with team workflow, and present it as meaningful information on easy-to-read graphic displays.

Goyal's appointment capped a successful year for LiveData, during which the company established separate divisions for its two principal markets, the healthcare and electric utilities industries. As Vice President of Technology and Services, a new position at the growing company, Goyal is responsible for technology vision and strategy for LiveData’s revolutionary data integration and visualization products.

He brings more than 30 years of experience in product development and services delivery to the company, having managed engineering teams throughout his career while creating value for shareholders of both private and public companies. Most recently, he was CTO of Vaultus (later acquired by Antenna Software), where he led the team that launched multi-device mobile products, including one that scaled to millions of users.

Previously, he was development director at Lotus/IBM, where he managed product teams on a worldwide basis and was responsible for creating several product lines with new revenue streams. He holds multiple patents, and is a co-author of one of the industry standards for exchanging Personal Information Management data among smartphones and other mobile devices.

"The addition of Arvind Goyal marks another successful year for LiveData, and complements our executive team with a veteran who has impressive technology credentials," said Jeffrey Robbins, LiveData founder and CEO. "Arvind's accomplishments will be invaluable in helping LiveData deliver on our strategy of streamlining both workflow and information flow in healthcare and energy, two industries that are critical to our economy and our way of life."

"This is an important time for LiveData, with business and technology opportunities facing us at every corner," said Goyal. "We have been fortunate to obtain support through the U.S. Army's Small Business Innovation Research grant programs, as well as early successes in both healthcare and energy. I look forward to the challenges that face the world-class development team that the company has built over the years."

LiveData's flagship product in Healthcare is LiveData OR-Dashboard, which presents essential information about the patient and surgical case to the entire OR team in real-time, integrating data from patient records, administrative systems, physiological monitors, and medical devices. Presented on a large, flat panel display in the OR, the dashboard is visible from anywhere in the OR, and is updated automatically throughout the perioperative process.

By automatically gathering and displaying real-time data from disparate sources, LiveData OR-Dashboard reinforces consistent adherence to safety protocols and helps eliminate so-called “never events,” which are errors generally considered so threatening to patient safety that they should never happen.

The company's Energy division focuses on products that manage real-time data and otherwise contribute to the health of the electric utility network. Built on the Energy division's flagship product LiveData RTI Platform, LiveData solutions are the trusted choice for hundreds of electric power utilities across the world.

LiveData SmartGrid Manager integrates data from diverse systems, devices, and sensors to deliver a real-time global view of the next-generation electric utility services network, commonly known as the “smart grid.” SmartGrid Manager dashboards continuously monitor, synthesize, and respond to highly complex multi-faceted processes in real-time, spanning a broad mix of distributed devices, diverse vendors’ systems, protocols, and databases.
