IRVINE, Calif.--()--1105 Media’s Enterprise Computing Group (ECG) has announced the launch of Smart Markets, a marketing services division that will serve the growing needs of its customer base.
Smart Markets is an integrated division of 1105 ECG that provides content, strategy and design services, including Web site creation, enhanced lead-generation programs, advertising creative, brand building and product launch support to clients who want the expertise of established media brands that live within the communities they serve. ECG’s current media mix includes five magazines, 18 newsletters, 20 Web sites and a robust events schedule that includes Visual Studio Live! and SharePoint Live. Combined, these assets touch an audience in excess of 1 million IT pros, developers and channel partners each month.

According to recent research from American Business Media and consultancy firm Booz & Company Inc., advertisers and marketers that took advantage of these services were more likely to be categorized as “leading edge.”
Smart Markets will draw on the marketing, creative design and content teams of ECG and will have the capacity to fulfill ad creation, messaging and new client engagement through a strategic and integrated funnel of client and audience metrics. Smart Markets will put a client’s advertising and marketing goals into tight alignment with ECG audiences, and give those clients a distinct competitive advantage by letting them work directly with ECG staff.
To support this new initiative ECG has reorganized. Doug Barney has been named Vice President, New Content Initiatives, Michele Imgrund has been named Senior Director of Marketing and Audience Engagement, and Scott Shultz as been named Creative Director, Media and Events. This core team, with a combined experience of more than 50 years in B-to-B media, will partner with Smart Markets clients and assist them in developing marketing plans and campaigns that support the targets and overall goals of the organization.
