SALT LAKE CITY--()--Chants of “X-i-3! X-i-3! X-i-3!” reverberated throughout the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center as hordes of prospective customers crowded the Xi3® Corporation booth at the four-day 2012 International CES trade show that ended on Friday, January 13.
“jonesing for a look ourselves (at the microSERV3R) soon as the show floor open(ed) up”
Thousands of CES 2012 attendees sought out Xi3 to learn more about the company’s Xi3 Modular™ Computers and other products that utilize the Xi3 Computer Architecture, a “building block” approach to both hardware and software, including
- the Xi3 microSERV3R™—an ecofriendly server housed in a 4-inch cube-like chassis;
-
Xi3 dataCENT3R™ products, including
- the Mobile dataCENT3R which can house up to 224 Xi3 microSERV3Rs in a motorized, sealed and air-cooled half-height data enclosure;
- Personal dataCENT3Rs designed for in-wall home or office use;
- Industrial dataCENT3Rs designed for manufacturing and/or industrial settings;
- TAND3M™ software, Xi3’s first software offering (available for Linux or Windows) that allows two users to simultaneously share one Xi3 Modular Computer; and
- APPITUR3™, the world’s smallest, lightest, fastest and most energy efficient search appliance on the planet.
Xi3 also showcased a concept DVR offering at CES 2012, one housed in an Xi3 Modular Computer. This concept product had been used to record multiple “live” videos, and the company demonstrated its initial capabilities by playing two simultaneous video streams for booth visitors.
“We unveiled ‘The Power of X’™ campaign at CES 2012,” said Jason A. Sullivan, Xi3 founder/president. “Our booth was consistently packed with customers, partners, journalists and fans, each interested in learning more about Xi3 and our fantastic products. And based upon preliminary feedback, product demand has jumped 10-fold from the demand we generated at last year’s CES. In other words, we had a fantastic show!”
Xi3 and its products produced serious interest and response from a wide assortment of media outlets before, during and after CES 2012. For example,
- Wired.com named the Xi3 microSERV3R one of “10 Gadgets We Want To Steal Before Leaving CES;”
- Yahoo! Voices called the microSERV3R one of five “Gadgets for Geeks to Keep Their Eyes On;”
