Mykonos Software Raises $4 Million in Series A Funding

Creator of Award-Winning Web Intrusion Prevention System that Proactively Detects Hackers Before Damage Occurs to Expand Engineering, Sales and Marketing Teams

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mykonos Software, the leading provider of Web Intrusion Prevention Systems (WIPS), today announced that it has raised a $4 Million Series A financing. Existing investor Tom Golisano, founder and chairman of Paychex, led the round and is joined by new investors Scott Banister, founder of Ironport, Jeff Clarke, executive chairman of Travelport, chairman of Orbitz and board member of Red Hat, and Mike Jones, founder and CEO of Clover Capital and SVP of Federated Clover. Clarke and Jones have also joined the Mykonos Software Board of Directors.
