Veteran software executive joins leading user virtualization technology provider to meet rapidly expanding sales demands in EMEA regions

NEW YORK--()--AppSense, the leading provider of user virtualization technology, today announced the appointment of Nick Lowe as vice president of sales in the Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA) markets. Lowe’s responsibilities will include overseeing all sales, services and strategic alliances within the EMEA region, as well as driving additional business in new EMEA territories.

“Building on our success in 2011, including a $70 million investment from Goldman Sachs and a 50 percent growth in both orders and employee base, we are thrilled to add Nick to our senior management team to oversee business in this major growth region,” said Darron Antill, CEO of AppSense. “With his extensive experience and impressive track record, we are confident that Nick will play a pivotal role in our continued success.”

With over 20 years of experience in software and technology sales, as well as sales management, Lowe most recently was vice president of sales, EMEA at Cyber-Ark Software. Previously, Lowe held senior positions in sales management at Sun Microsystems and Nortel where he was part of the acquisition of Bay Networks.

“The amount of momentum AppSense experienced in the last year has been astounding, and I am excited to help introduce enterprises to the power of user virtualization technology and to help businesses manage technology in ways that are beneficial to IT and the user,” said Lowe. “With my passion for the business and my expertise in the software sector, I look forward to making my mark at AppSense by driving further growth and success in the EMEA region.”

Lowe will be located in the AppSense London office. He holds an M.B.A. from Stanford Business School as well as a M.A. in Computer Science from Queen’s College Cambridge and a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Portsmouth.
