Haier Introduces New Television Technologies and Expands Audio Line at CES

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will showcase a new line of televisions, audio products and technologies by Haier. As the Official HDTV of the NBA, Haier will display connected televisions as well as key new design features and introduce the expanded line of audio solutions.

EV Series

Haier will display the 65” 3D EV Series with a new thin bezel design that provides a truly immersive viewing experience with a virtually edgeless picture. A 55” model will hit the US market in 2012. The ultra slim cabinet design provides a sleek, polished look that makes these units the perfect centerpiece for your home theater. 2D to 3D conversion creates a 3D-like effect when viewing non-3D video.

Smart UI

Haier will display the award winning Smart Home UI on the new EV Series 3D television. Smart Home UI allows straightforward access to different functions at the same time while watching TV. There is total connectivity and interactivity between the internet, television, home electronics and appliances, making it possible to operate and check the functionality of all compatible electrical appliances, turning the TV into the centerpiece of the household. It features intuitive navigation with the double-sided QWERTY remote control; one side of the remote allows access to key TV functions, the other side has an intuitive keypad for easy access to different available content and allows you to communicate instantly with friends. This technology received the Communication Design Award at IFA 2011.

Net Connect Series

Haier’s Net Connect with a new thin bezel design provides a truly immersive viewing experience with a virtually edgeless picture and easy to use one-click access to Yahoo! Connected TV and Netflix. The ultra slim cabinet design provides a sleek, polished look that makes these units perfect for any home theater. Connect to the Internet and get instant access to movies and other content through Yahoo! Connected TV. Haier’s line of LED televisions is inspired by the evolution of the consumer lifestyle and evokes the experience of the home theater dream: wirelessly connecting to streaming movies, music, and entertainment from one source with a LED image that is deeper, richer, and bolder. The Net Connect series brings together Haier’s LED technology, 1080p full HD and 120Hz Full Motion refresh rate with one-touch access to streaming content.

Designer Series

The Designer Series has a sleek body and 23” screen that’s perfect for the kitchen, bedroom, office or dorm room. The TV cabinet comes in a modern black, white, metallic grey or red to add stylish color and match any décor.

Core Series

Haier’s Core Series LED television line ranges from 22” to 50” with a new thin bezel design that provides a truly immersive viewing experience with a virtually edgeless picture. This step up line also features an ultra slim cabinet design that provides a sleek, polished look that can easily be the centerpiece for your home theater. Haier’s full line LCD televisions from 19”to 42” provide the consumers the ability to take the step into HD with feature-packed units at affordable prices. One of the new introductions for 2012 includes a new screen size, a 39” LCD (L39B2180).

Audio Solutions

Haier’s line of soundbars boosts audio performance to enhance the home theater experience and deliver value and great sound quality with easy set-up. Our soundbar selection responds to both a demand for thin speaker solutions for ultra-thin HDTVs, and a growing interest in soundbars with multiple functions. Features include component video out, allowing consumers to stream content from iPhone or iPad to their televisions. On many models with integrated iPhone and iPad docking, Haier Audio apps increase functionality with features like FM Tuner, internet radio, weather forecasts, and alarm clock.
