Brian Burkhardt Crowned the Winner of Project Accessory

NEW YORK--()--Miami-based artist and jewelry designer Brian Burkhardt is named the first ever winner of Project Accessory. Burkhardt created nine accessories for three different looks – swimwear, day and evening – with the overall goal to convey a sense of “electricity and vibrancy” with his accessories. Burkhardt beat out fellow designers Nina Cortes (Miami, FL) and Rich Sandomeno (Los Angeles, CA) for the top spot. As the winner of Project Accessory, Burkhardt receives $100,000 from eBay Fashion to start this own accessories line, a feature spread in InStyle and a year of professional runway hair styling courtesy of John Frieda® Precision Foam Color.

Project Accessory is hosted by actress and model Molly Sims and featured judges designer Kenneth Cole and InStyle Editor, Ariel Foxman and lifestyle expert Eva Jeanbart-Lorenzotti as the mentor to the designers. The series followed 12 designers who competed to showcase their unique vision for accessories and show audiences how to transform any outfit. Throughout the intense competition, their ingenuity was tested to create one-of-a-kind jewelry, belts, bags, shoes, headpieces and other wares.

Project Accessory is produced by The Weinstein Company and Goodbye Pictures. Executive producers include Harvey Weinstein and Bob Weinstein (Co-Chairmen of The Weinstein Company), and Meryl Poster and Barbara Schneeweiss of The Weinstein Company, Rich Bye and Fred Pichel of Goodbye Pictures, Sarah Emanuel and Rob Sharenow, Gena McCarthy, David Hillman and Kim Chessler of Lifetime.
