Exchange Traded Concepts Files High Income MLP ETF

OKLAHOMA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Exchange Traded Concepts Trust (Trust) filed a preliminary prospectus with the SEC on December 16th, 2011 to launch an innovative high income MLP ETF, the first exchange-traded fund that tracks the Solactive High Income MLP Index (Index). The new ETF will be advised by Exchange Traded Concepts, LLC (ETC) and will have two sub-advisors. Yorkville ETF Advisors, LLC (Yorkville) will serve as Investment Sub-Adviser and Investment Management Solutions, LLC (IMS) will be the Trading Sub-Adviser for this new series of the Trust.

Yorkville became the latest investment firm to seek to launch an ETF utilizing ETC’s ETF-in-a-Box™ turnkey solution, an accelerated, low-cost platform to bring new ETFs to market.

The Yorkville High Income MLP ETF (Ticker Symbol: YMLP) will be passively managed and will seek investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the Solactive High Income MLP Index.

The Index’s universe of eligible MLPs will include those involved in oil exploration and production, natural gas exploration and production, other energy products, shipping and transportation, as well as direct mining of natural resources.

The Solactive High Income MLP Index is calculated and administered by Structured Solutions AG, which is independent of the Fund. Structured Solutions AG determines the components and relative weightings of the securities in the Index and publishes information regarding the Index.
