Cristal Global Announces TiO2 Price Increases

JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia & HUNT VALLEY, Md.--()--Cristal Global (Cristal) announced today that it will increase prices on all of its anatase and rutile Tiona® and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products sold in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and the Asia Pacific sub-regions effective January 1, 2012 or as contracts allow:

  • In Eastern and Western Europe, including Turkey: Cristal will increase prices on all of its anatase and rutile Tiona® and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products sold in Eastern and Western Europe, including Turkey, by a minimum of €250 per metric ton and in Russia, the CIS countries and other European US Dollar markets by a minimum US $300 per metric ton. Previously announced price premiums up to €150 (Euro markets) or US $200 (US Dollar markets) per metric ton will continued to be applied to plastic and laminate grades sold in these markets.
  • In the Middle East and Africa: Prices for all anatase and rutile Tiona® and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products sold into the Middle East and African markets will increase by US $300 per metric ton and in North Africa by a minimum of €250 per metric ton.
  • In Asia Pacific: Prices for all Tiona® and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products sold in the Asian markets will increase by US $250 per metric ton. In Oceania, prices for all Tiona® and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products will increase by Australian $250 per metric ton or by US $250 per metric ton in the US Dollar markets. Previously announced price premiums up to US $200 will be continue to be applied to sales of specialized grades sold within the Asia Pacific region.
  • In Latin America: Prices for all Tiona® and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products sold in Latin America will increase up to US $300 per metric ton. Previously announced premiums for plastics grades will remain in effect.

These increases are in addition to earlier announcements.
