Attention Aspiring Filmakers: Win a Chance to Produce a Series of Short Films for Line 39 Wines’ Sit-Down Dinner Theater Program

SONOMA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cecchetti Wine Company’s Line 39 Wines has launched a nationwide search for a talented up-and-coming filmmaker to help the winery produce a series of short videos for its Sit-Down Dinner Theater Program launching in the spring of 2012. http://www.line39wines.com/Dinner-Theater-Job-Listing/.php

From now until January 15, 2012, Line 39 Wines encourages all aspiring filmmakers - amateurs, film students, or even experienced – to submit a short, creative video showcasing Line 39 Wines in the context of a sit-down dinner. At the end of the search, Line 39 will select their favorite submission and issue a $10,000 contract to that filmmaker to produce three more videos. These will be unveiled in late spring 2012 via Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, and other Social Media outlets.

In today’s fast-paced world, a sit-down dinner with family and friends is hard to pull off. But Line 39 Wines wants to remind everyone that it’s worth it. Think of all the stories told during dinner time. Think of all the dinners that have become stories. Line 39 Wines wants to preserve this century's old tradition by reminding us all that a sit-down dinner, while not always easy, is worth the effort and time. In spring 2012, Line 39 will launch the Sit-Down Dinner Theater video series to share its message that dinners are a place where stories are made, as well as told. Submit your video and help us show the world the importance of sharing a meal together around the dinner table with a bottle of Line 39.

How to submit a video to competition and become our filmmaker:

  • Simple. Shoot and post a short video. The video must follow the four following rules (lawyer stuff):
    • The film must show Line 39 wines
    • The film must be framed within the idea of a sit-down dinner
    • The film cannot show drinking in excess and must show drinking in a responsible light
    • All people consuming wine must be of legal drinking age
  • Length, style, everything else is up to the filmmaker
  • Please note: You must upload the video to YouTube by 11:59 PM Pacific time on January 15, 2012
