The Gambia Trade Fair 2011

TAIPEI, Taiwan--()--The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the foremost trade promoter in Taiwan, is pleased to announce that it is leading a delegation of enterprises from Taiwan to join The Gambia Trade Fair 2011. The trade fair, which is a well-established trade event in The Gambia every 2 years, is believed to be a good channel to further boost the trade relations between Taiwan and The Gambia.

In 2010, the bilateral trade between Taiwan and The Gambia generated a trade volume of US$4.147 million, of which US$3.087 million was generated from Taiwan’s exports to The Gambia, while US$1.059 million was generated from Taiwan’s imports from The Gambia. Through the close coordination and unfailing efforts of the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in The Gambia, it is anticipated that relations will continue to flourish in the years ahead.

From the 8th to the 18th of December, Taiwan will be presenting its latest products in the Taiwan Pavilion, which will feature two major sections. One section will be an image area which will showcase many outstanding products highlighting Taiwan’s image as an industry leader in ICT. The other section will be a showground for the participating exhibitors from Taiwan, where they will display a range of products, including Computer and Peripheral products, Stereo Headphones, Speakers, UPSs, Mice, Keyboards and Solar LED Application products.

In addition, there are 214 companies that will display a vast range of catalogs at the booth, including Auto Parts, Hardware, Machinery and Parts, Bread Makers, Cooking Machines, Precision DC Motors, Screws, Encrusting Machines, Double Surface Planers, Water Pumps, Tires, Molds, Cement products, Agricultural Machinery, Medical Equipment, Plastic Modules, Motorbikes, Housewares, Juicers, Grinders, Blenders, Cookers, Consumer Electronics, SMT Connectors, Adapters, Stationery, Metal Parts and Building Material , Surveillance products, Eco products, Stationery, Goggles, Bag Making Machines, Diving Equipment, and Fashion Accessories among many others.

At the TAITRA service center, in addition to presenting brochures and various promotional materials that represent Taiwan’s key business sectors, TAITRA offers helpful tips on how to do business with Taiwan and introduces business and trade opportunities that are available in the country. TAITRA warmly welcomes all business enterprises in the Republic of The Gambia and the central Africa region to visit the Taiwan Pavilion at Independence Stadium, Bakau.
