CLEVELAND--()--Hitachi continues the expansion of the Oasis installed base in hospital networks both in their radiology departments as well as those with outpatient imaging facilities.

With hospital installations ranging from large health networks such as La Porte Hospital of Indiana University Health, Wyandotte Hospital of Henry Ford Health System and Summa Health Center at White Pond of Summa Health System, to community hospitals such as Edward Hospital serving suburban Chicago and Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado, to specialty imaging such as ACR accredited “Just for Women” imaging at RADS Palmetto General Hospital, Oasis is proving to be a workhorse MR system with robust clinical capabilities and image quality to satisfy all clinical requirements.

“I am very pleased to bring a new, high-tech open MRI to our White Pond facility,” said Daniel Finelli, M.D., chair of the Department of Radiology at Summa Health System. “By offering one of the top options for patients who may require additional space due to weight, injury or claustrophobia, we can provide better imaging quality, respond to a patient’s needs and contribute to their overall satisfaction.”

Oasis is gaining acceptance all over the country as a first class alternative to 1.5T closed bore imaging. The bore-less design accommodates the widest range of patients with optimal comfort, while providing full spectrum of advanced imaging capabilities ranging from advanced neurological to women’s health imaging. All this combined with Hitachi’s leading RADAR motion compensation capability ensures high quality head to toe imaging.

“We are quite proud of the continued expansion of the Oasis in the hospital market. It proves the clinical performance and workflow capabilities are meeting the demands of both the physicians and hospital administrators. And the Oasis continues to be a valuable market differentiator for hospitals and their outpatient facilities,” said Sheldon Schaffer, Vice President and General Manager MRI & CT.
