NEW YORK--()--EPIX, the premium entertainment service available on television, on demand, online and on consumer electronic devices, today announced the promotion of Andy Hunter to general manager, digital media applications and products, a newly-created position within EPIX. Hunter will continue to be based in EPIX headquarters in New York City and will report directly to Mark Greenberg, EPIX President and CEO.

In this role, Hunter will direct the launch and day-to-day operations of EPIX digital products, including EPIX apps which are available to authenticated subscribers across hundreds of devices including mobile phones, tablets, game consoles and smart TVs. He will oversee product usage, authentication and integration with EPIX’s partners and distributors.

Previously, as head of marketing at EPIX, Hunter managed consumer and affiliate marketing. He is an original member of the EPIX team since its launch two years ago, coming to the network after spending 17 years at MTV. During his tenure at MTV, Hunter served as Senior Vice President, General Manager of several of MTV’s core ancillary brands including MTV2, MTV Hits and MTV Jams.

Andy has a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and an MBA from Goizueta Business School at Emory University. He currently resides in Connecticut with his wife and daughter.
