Kasowitz Opens Silicon Valley Office

Douglas E. Lumish, chair of the firm’s intellectual property group, will lead the new office

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman LLP is pleased to announce that it has opened an office today in Silicon Valley at 333 Twin Dolphin Drive in Redwood Shores, California. Douglas E. Lumish, chair of the firm’s intellectual property group, will serve as managing partner of the office.

The opening of the Silicon Valley office continues the expansion of Kasowitz’s intellectual property group. Mr. Lumish, along with intellectual property partner Jeffrey Homrig, joined Kasowitz in January from Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and both have been working at the firm’s San Francisco office. In May, a team of eight litigators from Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP also joined the firm’s intellectual property group in Atlanta and New York. Together at Kasowitz, the group has been involved in cutting-edge patent litigation cases, working with high-profile clients across the country.
