THE TRAVELOCITY ROAMING GNOME EXPLORES THE MIDDLE EAST IN ABU DHABI
Travelocity’s Roaming Gnome® has teamed up with Etihad Airways and is wrapping up a whirlwind visit to the capital and second largest city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Abu Dhabi. Similar to nearby Dubai, Abu Dhabi is a world class tourist destination known for its many attractions, events, dining and hotels.
The Roaming Gnome departed JFK Airport on Nov. 10 aboard Etihad Airways Flight 100. He put on his favorite eye mask and woke up to the pristine Persian Gulf to delight in all Abu Dhabi has to offer.
The Roaming Gnome’s itinerary has been jam packed during his stay. After checking in at the Jumeirah at Etihad Towers Hotel, he attended the third annual Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit on Yas Island. After the race, the Roaming Gnome caught a bite to eat before rushing off to see Paul McCartney perform live in concert.
The Roaming Gnome will depart Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Shortly after his return, his fans can follow the Roaming Gnome’s trip as he shares photos on his Facebook page and his Twitter feed.
