Former Social Security Administration Branch Chief Joins The Advocator Group

Philip Racicot joins The Advocator Group as Social Security Disability Insurance National Practice Leader

WAKEFIELD, Mass.--()--The Advocator Group, a nationwide advocacy organization for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), recently announced that Philip Racicot has officially joined the company in their Wakefield office. In Racicot’s new position as SSDI National Practice Leader he will apply his knowledge and experience of the Social Security Disability process to assist The Advocator Group in more effectively handling the SSDI claims of their clients.

Racicot will focus on using his expertise, creativity, and experiences to further develop The Advocator Group’s proprietary technology, advocacy services, and customer training. Phil’s understanding of SSA’s processes and what goes into securing fast SSDI decisions will enhance the training and service provided by the case and hearing advocates at The Advocator Group.

Racicot comes from a successful career with the Social Security Administration, most recently as Branch Chief within the Boston Office of Quality Performance. While there, he supervised multiple teams whose responsibilities included Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) decision reviews, supervision of Department of Developmental Services (DDS) decisions, Vocation Consultant determinations, and more. Under Racicot’s leadership, his team of disability reviewers was singled out for a National Office of Quality Performance Executive Recognition Team award in 2009.

“Phil’s experience with the Social Security Administration cannot be matched and will be a great asset to our organization,” says Brett Albren, President of The Advocator Group. “We look forward to his contributions as a seasoned SSDI expert. His experience working on complex cases and having a deep understanding of the Social Security Disability decision-making process will enhance The Advocator Group’s client service.”

Racicot earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Merrimack College, Andover, Mass., and later received his master’s degree in landscape design from Radcliffe College, Cambridge, Mass.
