EDINBURGH, Scotland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today (28th October) travel comparison site Skyscanner ran an amazing one day Twitter holiday auction giving followers the chance to walk away with an incredible seven night villa holiday in a choice of sunny destinations, courtesy of Solmar Villas.
The prize which also included flights and car hire proved a popular choice – possibly due to the fact it was worth a whopping £4,000!
The tweeted bids started this morning at 9am with a conservative bid of just £25 however this soon rose to £200 and by the end of the day was over £1000, with a nail biting finish as the final winning bid was tweeted exactly 1 minute before the auction closed!
Some tweeted in order to raise money for a great cause while others just wanted to bag themselves a bargain holiday and some cheap flights!
And indeed a bargain it was! The lucky recipient of this sunny getaway has a choice of nine different villas based in various destinations including the Algarve, Menora, Tenerife, Lazarote and Mallorca. The prize also included 7 nights accommodation in the 3 or 4 bed villa, car hire, holiday insurance and flights for 4 people!
