Arnold Palmer Medical Center Executive Joins HealthTeacher as Vice President of Development

Chris Stowers to lead the development of philanthropic programs to assist healthcare organizations’ efforts to improve youth health

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HealthTeacher announced today that Chris Stowers, CFRE has joined the company as Vice President of Development. Prior to joining HealthTeacher, Chris was the Executive Director of the Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation as well as Chief Operating Officer for Communications & Branding, overseeing the fund raising and marketing efforts for the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies in Orlando, FL.

Chris was instrumental in the development of HealthTeacher’s hospital partnership model. In 2008, he spearheaded the efforts for Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children to sponsor the HealthTeacher resources in the six school districts in Central Florida.

Previously, Chris was with Arnold Palmer Medical Center and its parent company, Orlando Health, for nearly 17 years where he served in the Foundation, Strategic Communications and the Managed Care divisions.

Chris earned his Master of Public Health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University and his B.A. in Speech Communication at the University of Florida. He earned his Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2004.
