NASHVILLE, Tenn.--()--Sitel, a world leader in outsourced customer care services, announced today that the Company’s Glasgow, Kentucky call center site was named 2011 Kentucky Employer Champion by Experience Works, the nation’s largest nonprofit training and employment organization for workers 55 years and older. The award will be presented at the Sitel Glasgow site at 101 Hilltopper Way on Thursday, October 27 at 3 p.m. CT, recognizing Sitel’s ongoing commitment to the promotion, recruitment and development of strong business partnerships and hiring local talent encompassing all ages.

Over the past year, Sitel Glasgow’s Human Resources department worked closely with Experience Works to hire new workers in Sitel’s Glasgow, Ky. site to focus on Web-based customer service duties for client, Best Buy Co., Inc. Through Experience Work’s training programs and classes, each employee mastered the latest technologies to enhance their careers, and solve the most dynamic customer service needs.

Sitel officially opened the Glasgow, Ky. call center in August 2011 to support Best Buy’s sales and service support programs. Currently, the facility houses more than 600 call center agents and management-level employees managing inbound call, outbound call, email and interactive chat services for Best Buy nationwide.
