Robin Bertolucci Extends Commitment with Clear Channel’s KFI and KTLK

LOS ANGELES--()--Clear Channel Radio, the leading media company in America with a greater reach than any other radio or television outlet, today announced that John Ivey has been named Senior Vice President of Programming and Robin Bertolucci has extended her contract as Program Director for KFI AM 640 and KTLK-AM 1150 in Los Angeles.

Ivey, previously Vice President of Programming for Los Angeles, will expand his responsibilities to include assistance with CHR (Contemporary Hit Radio) programming and talent development across all of Clear Channel Radio and will also retain his role as Program Director of KIIS-FM and KHHT-FM.

A native of Owensboro, Kentucky, Ivey started in radio as a disc jockey at WOMI in Owensboro, and came to Clear Channel through Pyramid Broadcasting at Rochester’s WPXY in 1990. During his tenure, KIIS has become the most listened to radio station in Los Angeles every quarter since summer, 2004; rated the No.1 Billing Radio Station in America three consecutive years (2008-2010); and won the 2010 Marconi Radio Award as the Contemporary Hits Station of the Year. KIIS is also home to the popular Ryan Seacrest morning drive-time show, which is syndicated on more than 150 stations in North America.

“The past two decades at Clear Channel have been a privilege and a pleasure for me. I thank all of my incredibly dedicated colleagues for making those years so rewarding,” said Ivey. “From our industry-leading programmers and talent to our unmatched relationships with the hottest recording artists – as evident by our history-making music festival in Las Vegas – to everything in between, this truly is a thrilling time to be at Clear Channel and I look forward to what’s to come.”

Bertolucci has also extended her contract with Clear Channel Radio Los Angeles as Program Director for KFI AM 640 and KTLK-AM 1150. She started her radio career in 1987 as a Desk Assistant in the KGO newsroom and eventually became the station’s Executive Producer. In 1995 Bertolucci joined Clear Channel Radio and oversaw stations throughout the Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota markets. She has been with Clear Channel Radio Los Angeles since 2002 and has been a major contributor to KFI’s ratings success. Bertolucci’s continued role with the company reflects Clear Channel’s commitment to its programming talent and leadership.

“For the past two decades, John has made innumerable contributions to our company’s success, especially over the last 10 years in Los Angeles at KIIS-FM, and Robin has led the iconic KFI brand to unprecedented audience growth and engagement,” said John Hogan, President and CEO, Clear Channel Radio. “As a company, we put a priority on recognizing our high performers with advancement opportunities to grow and develop their careers and we are pleased to have great programming management talent like John and Robin renew their commitment to the Clear Channel team.”
