MAXIMUS Joins Enroll America Advisory Council

- Organization Focuses on Healthcare Coverage for Uninsured Americans -

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MAXIMUS, Inc. (NYSE:MMS), a leading provider of government services worldwide, announced today that it will serve on the Advisory Council for Enroll America, a non-profit organization focused on ensuring that all Americans are enrolled in and retain health coverage.

With the enactment of the Affordable Care Act, opportunities will become available to help millions of uninsured Americans enroll in health insurance, get help with the cost of that coverage, and improve their overall health and well-being. However, evidence from past health coverage programs suggests that there are significant barriers that prevent people from enrolling in coverage. Enroll America seeks to address this gap in enrollment by helping states and other stakeholders understand how to create a seamless consumer-friendly enrollment process, and by making a coordinated, concerted, and wide-reaching effort to ensure that Americans know how and where to sign up for coverage.

MAXIMUS will collaborate with other stakeholders from within the healthcare industry on the organization’s mission. These stakeholders include representatives from hospitals, insurance, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as physician, clinical and patient organizations. In addition, the Company will provide Enroll America with flexible solutions for enrollment materials and process designs through its renowned Center for Health Literacy.
