New Company Will Combine Assets Acquired from NAVTEQ’s Broadcast Media Division

MALVERN, Pa.--()--Matchbin, a leading provider of content management, advertising and local marketplace solutions for media companies, has acquired NAVTEQ’s Radio and Television Advertising Group, which as part of NAVTEQ Media Solutions provides content and advertising solutions for broadcast radio and television, forming Radiate Media, a next-generation media technology services company.

Radiate Media will utilize the combined companies’ robust technology platforms and media reach to create an end-to-end value chain connecting media partners with their advertisers and ultimately to the consumer, driving unprecedented commerce opportunities at a local, regional and national level.

“Technology is changing the way advertisers, large and small, can promote themselves,” said Chris Rothey, former head of NAVTEQ Media Solutions, who will become Radiate Media’s new chief executive officer. “This enhanced offering will help our media partners revolutionize the industry in this evolving landscape and build strong relationships with local businesses.”

Radiate Media will continue to provide industry-leading traffic content solutions, such as CommuteVantage™, to the radio and television space through a continuing business agreement with NAVTEQ. Additionally, Radiate Media will offer its Editionals™ content management solution for media partners, and MatchLocal™ directory publishing platform for merchants. The MatchLocal platform also allows media partners to provide web, mobile and digital couponing capabilities to local businesses in their area.

“We are pleased to continue to serve the broadcast industry with our world-class traffic content through our collaboration with Radiate Media,” said Howard Hayes, VP Traffic at NAVTEQ. “The broadcast partners that will be served by Radiate will see no interruption in service.”

“Merchants are looking to multiple advertising avenues to promote their business, particularly at the local level,” adds Hal Widlansky, previously CEO of Matchbin and Radiate Media’s new President and COO. “Radiate Media is positioning itself to help media partners become critical players in the growing local advertising market.”
