Smart911 Continues Nationwide Expansion into Colorado

Smart911 to be Implemented in 10 Public Safety Answering Points across Two Colorado Counties

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--()--Rave Mobile Safety, a leading provider of safety software, today announced that the national footprint of Smart911 expanded into Colorado with the procurement of the solution by the Jefferson County Emergency Communication Authority (JCECA). JCECA is the first in the state of Colorado to provide its 9-1-1 call takers with critical citizen safety information through Smart911. Upon implementation, when a 9-1-1 call is placed in Jefferson and Broomfield Counties, a registered citizen’s Smart911 safety profile will be provided to the call taker. Citizens can create a Smart911 safety profile through a national safety database at www.Smart911.com.

The information provided to our public safety answering points (PSAPs) will deliver insights about callers that we usually only uncover upon arriving at an emergency. We are excited to be the first counties in Colorado to use Smart911 and are looking forward to our citizens being better protected during an emergency situation.”

Citizens can provide important safety information through www.Smart911.com, including names and photos of family members, medical conditions (such as disabilities or allergies), home addresses of mobile phone callers, and other rescue-related information. Smart911 then delivers this information automatically to 9-1-1 call takers at participating PSAPs. The service, which is free to citizens, enhances response and supports improved incident outcomes. The service also supports citizen demand for the ability to easily provide and manage special needs data.
