Road Warriors Skip Passport Lines and Stay Connected During Flights

NEW YORK--()--American Express today announced two new benefits to the American Express® Corporate Platinum Card to help business travelers get through airports quickly and stay connected during flights. Free Global Entry membership and complimentary Gogo® in-flight Wi-Fi sessions join a robust list of premier benefits and rewards designed for companies seeking to balance comfort, ease and productivity for their executive business travelers while simultaneously reducing corporate expenses.

Benefit details include:

  • Card members apply for Global Entry membership at www.globalentry.gov, use the Corporate Platinum Card to pay the $100 application fee, and then receive a statement credit covering the fee.
  • The Global Entry membership is valid for five years.

Gogo® In-flight Wi-Fi

Gogo is the leading provider of in-flight Wi-Fi and offers Internet connectivity on nearly 1,200 airplanes flying routes in the continental United States. Participating airlines include Air Canada, AirTran Airways, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways and Virgin America Airlines.

Benefit details include:

  • Card members use their Corporate Platinum Card to purchase a Gogo Flight Pass, good for Gogo access on one flight, and then receive a statement credit covering the cost.
  • Corporate Platinum Card members are eligible to receive 10 statement credits each calendar year.

“Business travelers have no time to waste. They’re on the go 24/7, and are constantly looking for ways to save time and be more efficient,” said Jaromir Divilek, Senior Vice President, Global Product Development, American Express Global Corporate Payments. “These new benefits will ease their time on the road, and, at the same time, benefit the corporation by encouraging card usage and aiding expense management across the organization.”
