Washington Women’s Foundation Announces Promotions for Key Staff

SEATTLE--()--The Washington Women’s Foundation has announced promotions for three key staff members: Marion DeForest, Megan Davies and Emily Feicht.

“We are so fortunate to have these highly qualified and motivated individuals on our Foundation team,” said Carla Lewis, President of Washington Women’s Foundation. “Each has expanded her responsibilities and effectiveness over the past 18 months to contribute to the increased impact and success of our Foundation.”

  • Marion DeForest is now Vice President of Washington Women’s Foundation, reflecting the key role she plays in the overall management of the Foundation. She has implemented several elements of the Foundation’s new 2010-2013 Strategic Plan, most notably the creation and launch of three new Partner Grant initiatives. Since 2008, Marion has been Deputy Director of the Foundation, managing the Grant Committee, the Impact Assessment Committee and other business operations. She joined WWF as a member in 2001 and then became part of the Foundation staff in 2005 as Senior Program Manager. Marion has a Bachelor’s degree from Yale University and an executive Masters in Nonprofit Leadership from Seattle University. She previously served as Executive Director of Seattle Works for 4 years.
  • Megan Davies is promoted to Program Director, in recognition of the expanded leadership role she plays with the Grant Committee and Discovery Days program, as well as her management responsibilities with educational programs for members, communications and website content management. Megan joined WWF in 2008 as Program Manager, and became a member of the Foundation the following year. She earned her Bachelor's degree at Vassar College and her Masters degree in Public Administration from the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington. Megan previously served on both the staff and strategic planning committee of Hadassah, one of the largest women's membership organizations in the world. She also worked as a nonprofit consultant with two international organizations, Para El Mundo in Peru and Fusion International in Argentina.
  • Emily Feicht has a new position as Member Relations and Development Manager. In this role, Emily is responsible for member relations, resource development, grants management, board support, database and office operations. Emily joined the staff in 2008 as Office Manager and has distinguished herself through her effective outreach to members and the efficiencies she has brought to the Foundation’s infrastructure. Prior to working at WWF, Emily was the Executive Programs Manager at Junior Achievement of Washington. She began her career with the Fremont Public Association (Solid Ground) working as a literacy tutor at Tukwila Elementary, followed by serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA Leader with Page Ahead Children’s Literacy Program. Emily is a graduate of Gonzaga University.
