iWin Names Laralyn McWilliams Vice President of Creative

Nick Rush, Randy Angle Also Join iWin, Rounding Out All-Star Creative Team

SAN FRANCISCO--()--iWin, a leader in casual games, has named former Loot Drop and Sony Online Entertainment creative lead Laralyn McWilliams as Vice President, Creative. McWilliams will lead a team of talented game designers focused on developing original IP across all platforms. In addition, Nick Rush joins iWin to lead its efforts in creating social games based on popular game shows, a genre in which the company is the leading developer on Facebook; Randy Angle has also come on board as Creative Director of Mobile Games. The new team members will bring a wealth and breadth of experience to shape iWin’s creative direction across all platforms.

Prior to joining iWin, Laralyn McWilliams was Creative Director on Free Realms at Sony Online Entertainment. McWilliams has also been a game director for Edge of Reality and lead designer for both Pandemic Studios and High Voltage Software. She shared the top spot in Massive Online Gaming's 2010 list of the Top 20 Most Influential People in MMOs, was on Beckett's list of the top women in MMOs for 2010 and was one of Gamasutra's 20 most influential women in games in 2008. A frequent speaker on casual game progression and the use of metrics in the design and operation of live game services, McWilliams is an outspoken advocate for casual players and the need for game developers to look beyond themselves to make great games for broader audiences.

Nick Rush has held the position of Chief Creative Officer at both Electronic Arts Online and WonderHill. As Chief Creative Officer at WonderHill, Rush headed the design of Dragons of Atlantis, a top strategy MMO on Facebook, which led to WonderHill's acquisition by social game leader Kabam!. Rush personally created many of the Internet’s most popular casual games including Word Whomp! and Poppit!, still the top games on EA’s Pogo after more than a decade. At Berkeley Systems, Rush was the creative force behind the famous “Flying Toasters” screen saver line and collaborated on the classic You Don't Know Jack game franchise. Rush also designed the social game version of Family Feud, currently a major hit for iWin on Facebook.

As Creative Director of Mobile Games, Randy Angle comes to iWin with a keen understanding of all phases of game production and business practices with over 20 years of industry experience. He is a game development veteran, with over 60 credits on successful and award-winning games and toys for every platform, including original titles such as Fun Chat, MiniTycoon Casino and Babblix as well as established brands, including Deal or No Deal, 1 VS. 100, Spiderman, and SpongeBob SquarePants.
