New Major Release of ETAP® Power System Engineering Software

Latest ETAP 11 release delivers new and enhanced engineering design and system operation software for transmission, distribution, generation, industrial, railways, data centers, and renewable energy

IRVINE, Calif.--()--Operation Technology, Inc. (OTI), developers of ETAP enterprise software solution for power systems, announces the launch of ETAP 11.0.

The ETAP 11 release represents a continued commitment shared with clients and business partners to provide the most comprehensive analytical solutions for the design and operation of power systems now, and the energy technologies for tomorrow.

This latest release includes many new key features, several new analysis modules, new elements and libraries, and significant enhancements to existing modules. Many of the new and enhanced functionalities are based on user input and suggestions. In fact, ETAP 11 software underwent extensive beta testing at several customer sites prior to its release. ETAP customers with an active maintenance contract will automatically receive the new release.

“ETAP 11 is a reflection of our 25 year history with the user community,” says Shervin Shokooh, Chief Operating Officer at Operation Technology. “Our customers rely on ETAP to innovate, manage and deliver state-of-the art power analytical and engineering applications to increase productivity and reliability, as well as provide for safe and clean operations.”

ETAP 11 provides an integrated and collaborative environment through multi-user data management and project merge capabilities. The data manager feature allows for creation and viewing of electrical data changes between revisions, as well as managing electrical data and engineering properties. Comprehensive renewable energy models for wind turbine generator and photovoltaic array with manufacturers’ specific libraries, combined with full spectrum power system analysis, have been added to this release. ETAP 11 also offers a graphical user-defined dynamic modeling (UDM) module. This logic editor interface provides an interactive graphical environment to build, simulate and test a variety of control block diagrams. A new ETAP Real-Time web-based interface and thin-client architecture offers advanced visualization and a rich user experience with secured access and minimum footprint.
