Convio Recognizes Innovator Award Recipients at Convio Summit 2011

Seven Nonprofit Organizations Honored for Creativity and Innovation in Constituent Relationship Management, Integrated Multi-channel Campaigns, Online Marketing, Peer-to-Peer Event Fundraising at Sixth Annual Conference

The Innovator Awards recognize clients who have shown innovation and achievement through the use of Convio’s constituent engagement solutions.

Best Overall Use of Convio

Project On Government Oversight (POGO), a nonpartisan independent watchdog that champions good government reforms, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best Overall Use of Convio category for their sophisticated use of Convio Luminate™ Online, Convio Luminate™ CRM, and Convio CMS, and complementing it with social media tools and staff creativity to reach more of the general public. www.pogo.org

Best Integrated/Multi-channel Campaign

The Trust for Public Land (TPL), a national nonprofit land conservation organization, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best Integrated/Multi-channel Campaign category for its year-end matching gift campaign, which integrated direct mail and online communications. The goals were to improve net revenue, integrate online with direct mail, and reduce expenses and the organization generated 41.2 percent more net revenue than the previous year-end campaign and reduced direct mail related expenses by $7,000. http://www.tpl.org

Best Online Campaign

National Partnership for Women & Families, an advocacy group dedicated to promoting fairness in the workplace, access to quality health care, and policies that help women and men meet the dual demands of work and family, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best Online Campaign category for its ‘Right Over Might’ – The Betty Dukes and Women of Wal-Mart Campaign. The National Partnership’s intensive four-month long advocacy campaign incorporated emails, surveys, donation forms, action alerts, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and on-the-ground organizing. http://www.NationalPartnership.org

Best CRM Visionary/Use of Common Ground

All Hands Volunteers, a US-based volunteer-staffed nonprofit organization dedicated to timely disaster response and relief assistance, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best CRM Visionary/Use of Common Ground category for their segmentation efforts, creative communications, and innovative ways to capture prospect data. http://www.hands.org

Best Peer-to-Peer Campaign

United Way of Lake County (UWLC), a nonprofit organization that unites leadership and resources to create lasting change to improve lives in Lake County, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best Peer-to-Peer Campaign category for Page it Forward: Lake County’s Biggest Book Drive, which used Convio Personal Fundraising to create a sense of urgency around the organization’s first ever summer book-drive campaign. www.LIVEUNITEDlakecounty.org

Best Team Event

American Heart Association (AHA), devoted to saving people’s lives from heart disease and stroke, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best Team Event category for their successful Jump Rope For Heart and Hoops For Heart campaigns, which are national fundraising programs that promote physical activity, heart healthy living, and community service to children. http://www.heart.org

Best Use of New Media

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), America's largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality, was presented with an Innovator Award in the Best Use of New Media category for its “Coming Out for Equality” Facebook application which allowed supporters of equality to use social media to express their support for the rights of LGBT Americans. http://www.hrc.org
